Meet Tom Kohberger
Tom Kohberger is the proud founder of Tomco HVAC, bringing over 30 years of hands-on experience to homeowners across Daytona Beach and Titusville. Originally from New Jersey, Tom’s journey in the HVAC industry began at a vocational high school where he studied heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. After graduating in 1981, he jumped right into the workforce and never looked back.
A Lifelong Dream Realized
Owning his own business was always part of the plan. After gaining valuable experience working for several companies, Tom and his wife made the decision to head south, drawn by the promise of a longer cooling season. In 1992, while his wife was expecting their first child, Tom launched his first HVAC company in Atlanta, Georgia. That business would go on to thrive for more than three decades before he sold it and moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, thinking he’d finally enjoy a well-earned retirement.
From Retirement to Tomco HVAC
Retirement didn’t last long. After settling into Margaritaville in Daytona Beach, Tom realized the area was in serious need of reliable HVAC services. So, he got back to work and launched Tomco HVAC. What began as a fresh start soon evolved into a thriving business, driven by Tom’s reputation for honest service and exceptional workmanship. Today, Tomco HVAC is fully licensed and insured in the state of Florida, serving the local community with dedication and care.
Built on Experience and Trust
Tom isn’t doing it all alone. He brought on board a trusted coworker who had previously worked alongside him in Georgia. With 14 years of experience under his belt, this team member is now a vital part of the company and is set to carry the business forward in the future. Together, they’re focused on delivering excellent service and lasting comfort for every customer.
Life Beyond the Toolbox
When he’s not working, Tom enjoys soaking up the Florida sunshine. You’ll often find him boating, casting a line, or hitting the court for a game of pickleball—actually, a lot of pickleball. It’s his favorite way to unwind after a busy day keeping homes cool and comfortable.
